Samsung NX100 Review

Having spawned a DSLR with their first mirrorless system, Samsung seems to go back to trying to innovate on their product line photography. This can be seen on the newest digital camera, which is the successor to the Samsung NX100 NX10.

Although still use the same system without a mirror reflection, NX100 is now also without an electronic viewfinder or often called the Electronic Viewfinder (EVF). Thus, the user operates the NX100 like pocket cameras that rely on the LCD display screen by 3 inches.

However, to maximize the use of the LCD, this screen uses AMOLED mainstay of Samsung. The screen looks bright and color display with bright, but based on experience, AMOLED display is a bit misleading because quite often we find images that appear to be different, especially in terms of exposure when compared to when we display on the LCD monitor screen on the PC.

Because without the EVF, Samsung NX100 body becomes sufficiently compact to DSLR camera class. Maybe you never know a kind of digital SLR cameras are more popular with the name of Micro Four-Third system. However, unlike other competitors in this class, the Samsung did not use the sensor / 3 is, but stick with the standard sensor that APS-C DSLR. So indirectly, NX100 is capable of producing a quality image.

Participating in the affairs of capturing images is lens. In the unit we tested the Samsung includes a zoom lens with a range of 20-50mm or 30-77mm equivalent in 35mm format. These lenses have a special attraction because in addition to the relatively small size for the zoom lens. This lens also has a zoom lock sleeve when depreciated, so it does not take a lot of places when it is stored.

In addition, the lens features iFunction NX100 has a Fn key which is located on the lens body. By pressing this button, you can perform various functions of camera settings like ISO, aperture, shutter speed, even white-balance settings. So in addition to the scroll wheel on the camera body, the ring leader of the lens can also be used to set the parameters for photographing.
