Review OCZ Vertex 3

Since SATA III technology that offers data transfer rates of 6 Gigabit per-second introduction, the more boost the popularity of SSDs. Because the chip-based data storage system is superior to the disc-based hard drive.

Among the manufacturers of SSDs, OCZ SSD became one of the known providers of consumer. One of them via the Vertex series of products are constantly being developed to model the SATA III we tried this. There is also the Vertex series 3 is available in a choice of 120 GB, 240 GB and 480 GB.

As the SSD performance category, 3 Vertex uses SandForce controllers to handle 16 fast-performance NAND flash Micron each with a capacity of 16 GB (for a capacity of 240 GB SSD). Compared to previous models, the Vertex 3 somewhat lighter although it covers the bottom using aluminum materials. Apparently the material was deliberately used so that heat from the inside more quickly wasted. No wonder during the benchmarking, we found SSDs outside temperature remains cooler than previous models.
